PST Scheduled Backups
UPDATE: PST Scheduled Backups are old news, but here’s some new addition: KB article about the matter. So those who prefer to read about the service before trying it out are welcome to take a look!
Hello all,
We are excited to announce that we decided to upgrade our PST manager tool by creating a new option for our old and new customers alike.
Q What kind if feature is it?
A It’s a feature that would allow you to create scheduled backups for mailboxes existing on your account. You create a schedule backup rule and after that our system would automatically create backups of the mailbox(-es) in question.
Q What about the recurrence pattern?
A For now you have two options: backups can be created either weekly (and you can specify the day of the week) or monthly (and you can specify either some date or the first/second/third/last Monday/Tuesday/etc).
Q Ok, I want to have a rule that backups my mailbox once a month and I’ve selected "30" from the drop-down menu when specifying the date. How about February, then? There are only 28 days in this month.
A Then a backup would be created on the 28th of February.
Q Do I have to create a separate scheduled backup rule for each mailbox?
A No. You can set up one backup rule and assign several mailboxes to it.
Q Where can I find this scheduled backups option?
A HostPilot > PST Manager > Scheduled Backups tab. There you can also find the price for weekly and monthly backups and a little bit more information in the right "Hints" pane. There’s no knowledge base article to cover the topic yet but we believe it is on its way.
Feel free to take a look!
